Reacting to the result, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist in a chat with Completesports.com, stated that Peseiro should be blamed if Nigeria failed to qualify.

He also questioned the Portuguese tacticians inability to recognize former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama in the national team.

I really dont know what to say again because from the beginning Nigerians came out to say a lot of things with the way the Super Eagles have been playing and the Hose Peseiro say we are putting pressure on the team. And that we should not put pressure so that the team will play very well.

So we have decided not to put pressure and we are still seeing the same thing. So whatever the Federation and the coaches want to do with our national teams they should keep on doing it. If we qualify fine and if we dont qualify there is nothing anybody can do.

We cant hold anybody responsible except the head and the coach, Peseiro. This same coach was asked by the journalist that dont you think we are having a goalkeeping problem by bringing in Vincent Enyeama. He was asking the journalist that who is Vincent Enyeama. How can you say who is Vincent Enyeama? This is a guy that has kept for the Super Eagles for almost 16 years. A goalkeeper that kept for a club in France and everywhere. Hes almost the best in Africa And hes saying who is Vincent Enyeama. I think this goes a long way. Like I said, wish them what they want to do with the national team. Goodluck to them.
