Bafana Bafana of South Africa coach Hugo Broos has explained why his side lost 2-0 to Rwanda in Tuesdays Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Two first half goals earned Rwanda a first win in the qualifiers while it was South Africas first.

Afterwards, Bafana Bafana coach Broos said that his side lost the game within the first quarter and were never in a position to recover.

We lost the game in the first 25 minutes, because we werent ready for the kick-and-rush football of Rwanda, Broos said in an interview with Safa media Via iol.co.za.
