Niger Tornadoes head coach, Hamza Abarah says the early conceded by his side contributed to their defeat against Rangers on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys lost 2-1 to their hosts at the Akwa City Stadium.

Rangers took the lead through Joel Odoh in the 19th minute.

The Flying Antelopes got their second of the game late in the first half courtesy of a fine strike from former Nigeria Premier Football League top scorer Godwin Obaje.

Bashir Usman reduced the deficit for Niger Tornadoes in the 54th minute.

Abarah in his post match reaction, praised his players for their effort in the game.

“The early goal we conceded was demoralizing, but we were able to come back in the second half stronger,”Abarah told the club’s media.

“Of course, me and Fidelis knows each other inside out and that reflected on the game just like you all saw, he knew me and I also know him and that’s why the game was balanced.”

Niger Tornadoes will take on Bayelsa United in their next league game.
