Former Aston Villa forward, Gabby Agbonlahor has had his say on whether Arsenal should make a move for Bournemouth talisman, Dominic Solanke in the January transfer window.

The talkSPORT pundit feels the Englishman is not the right profile signing for the Gunners, who are chasing to win the Premier League title this season.

According to numerous reports, Arsenal have been linked with the former Liverpool former striker.

Ahead of the January transfer window, the Gunners are searching for a new striker, and Solanke is a player they are considering.

According to the Daily Star, if Arsenal cant get Brentford to sell them Ivan Toney, they may consider a deal for Solanke.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will personally push for Solankes arrival if an agreement for Toney cant be reached, according to the report.

After signing the striker for 19 million from Liverpool in 2019, Bournemouth now value him at 50 million.

According to TBR Football, Agbonlahor believes that Solanke, 26, is not talented enough for Arsenal.

The 37-year-old addressed rumors linking Solanke to Arsenal on talkSPORT.

I dont know, I dont know. Its a big jump, its a big jump to a team that is fighting for the title. I dont think Solanke is Arsenal level, I really dont.

Solanke is doing pretty well in front of goal for the Cherries this season. The 1-capped England international has scored 9 goals and provided an assist in 19 matches this season.

The England u-20 World Cup winner in 2017 will be looking to continue his impressive display for the south-Coast club so as to have a shot in the Three Lions squad ahead of the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

After a disappointing end where they lost the league title to Manchester City last season, Arsenal are aiming to win the crown for the first time since the 2003/24 season where they achieved the invincibles. Signing a prolific no.9 is pivotal in ensuring they knock the Cityzens off their perch.
