Arsenal Get Very Tough Draw In FA Cup Third Round

Arsenal will kick off their quest to lift a 15th FA Cup title when they host Liverpool at Emirates Stadium in the third round.

The third round draw was made on Sunday afternoon as clubs from the Premier League and EFL Championship joined this seasons competition.

The Gunners last faced Liverpool in the competition back in February 2014 when they ran out 2-1 victors, which was the 17th time both teams have locked horns in the FA Cup.

Current holders of the oldest Cup competition in the world, Manchester City, will host Huddersfield Town and last seasons finalist Manchester United will be guest to 2013 winners Wigan Athletics.

Other pairing will see Chelsea host Preston, Crystal Palace will entertain Everton, Burnley will visit Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United will be at Sunderland for the Tyneside derby.

The 32 third round proper ties will take place across the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 6 and 7 January, 2024.

Teams victorious in the third round proper will land 105,000 from the Emirates FA Cup prize fund.
