Exclusive: Forget Sentiment, Select Super Eagles Best Players For AFCON 2023 Agu Advises Peseiro

Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has urged the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro to select the best players from the pool of 40 players that will make Nigeria proud in the forthcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall that Nigeria will compete in Group A at the 2023 AFCON in January alongside hosts nation Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea.

Peseiro will be expected to prone the list of 40 players to 27 before the final CAF deadline for the submission of the final list.

However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Agu stated that the Portuguese tactician has an array of talents at his disposal and must select players who are hungry and determine to make the nation proud in Ivory Coast.

We are gradually approaching the point where the coach will have to select his final players for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

I am sure the coach will be having sleepless night considering the fact that he has an abundant of talents in the Super Eagles and selecting the final list will definitely give him serious headache.

But then, he has to chose the best players that are hungry and determine to make the nation proud. We must forget about sentiment and face the reality.
