Exclusive: Super Eagles Will Do Everything To Win 2023 AFCON Trophy Babangida

Former Nigerian international, Tijani Babangida has revealed that the Super Eagles will do their very best to ensure that the team win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall that Nigeria have been pitted alongside host, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A.

In a chat with Completesports.com, Babangida stated that the Super Eagles will be eager to redeem their image after last AFCON disappointment where the team crashed out in the round of 16 to Tunisia.

I know very well that the 2023 AFCON will afford Super Eagles another chance to make amends of their last tournament disappointment after losing to Tunisia in the Round of 16.

Regardless of the group, I believe the team will qualify from the group and the players will be determine to win the trophy.

I expect a very interestingly tournament and I know the players will make us proud.

The Super Eagles were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the competition at the last edition in Cameroon after a 1-0 loss to Tunisia.

Nigeria last won the tournament in 2013 and will look to win its fourth after recording success at the 1980 and 1994 editions.
