Mazzarri Hails Osimhens Display In Napolis Win Over Cagliari

Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has showered encomium on Victor Osimhen after the forward inspired the club to a 2-1 victory against Cagliari on Saturday night.

Osimhen scored and grabbed an assist in the thrilling contest played at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The 24-year-old opened scoring for the Serie A champions in the 64th minute.

His assist for Napolis second goal scored by Kvicha Kvaratskhelia was a beauty.

He drew away six Cagliari players and managed to pull back from the by-line for Kvaratskhelia to score at the far post.

I am glad that he and Kvara scored, because they were both looking a bit irritable. They needed to get back to being protagonists the way they were last season, Mazzarri was quoted by Football Italia.

I cant blame the team for getting tense, as it felt like in the first half the goal was cursed. When strikers are not relaxed, they can make really simple mistakes.
