NFF Denies Launch Of New S/Eagles NIKE Jerseys For AFCON 2023

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed reports circulating on social media that it has launched new Super Eagles NIKE jerseys for AFCON 2023.

The NFF made this known in a statement released on X.

Unconfirmed reports circulating on different social media outlets claimed that the NFF has unveiled new jerseys to be worn by the Eagles in Cte dIvoire.

A green and white jerseys were posted on some handles indicating they are the new kits the Eagles will wear at the competition.

Reacting to the reports the NFF, in a statement on its X handle, dismissed the reports.

Rumours about a new jersey launch between NIKE and the senior mens national team circulating round social media has been brought to our notice. We want to inform the general public that this claim is not true.

At the moment, we have no jersey being launched for the Super Eagles for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Cte dIvoire next month.

The Eagles are in Group A with hosts Cte dIvoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau for the AFCON 2023.

They will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, 2024.

Next years tournament will begin on January 13 and end February 11.

Meanwhile, the Elephants of Cte dIvoire have unveiled their final 27-man squad.

Among those who made the cut are Sebastien Haller, Nicolas Pepe, Serge Aurier and Franck Kessie.

However, the duo of Wilfried Zaha and Eric Bailly were not selected for next years AFCON.
