Ten Hag Should Be Sacked For Maltreating Ronaldo Boateng

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has kicked against any attempt to sack Erik Ten Hag as manager.

Neville was reacting to the Red Devils 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Erling Haaland scored a brace and provided the assist for Phil Fodens goal at Old Trafford.

The result means United sit in eighth place on the table, having lost five times in 10 fixtures.

Neville said on Sky Sports: The last few weeks, the performances have been so poor. At this moment in time, I cant quite see a moment where they get out of it.

Changing the manager? Absolutely no chance; thats not the right thing.

Each manager has reached a level, and then it drops. Its happening to Erik ten Hag before our eyes.

Playing career

Ten Hag played primarily as a centre-back for Twente, De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk and Utrecht. He had three stints with Twente, with whom he won the KNVB Cup in the 200001 season.

Ten Hag also won the Eerste Divisie with De Graafschap in the 199091 season, ten years before winning the cup with Twente.
He retired from active playing in 2002 at the age of 32 while playing for Twente, after the end of the 200102 Eredivisie season.
