Sadiq Battles Real Madrid, Real Betis Stars For LaLiga GOTM Award

Real Sociedad forward Umar Sadiq has been nominated for LaLiga Goal of the Month award for December.

Sadiqs was nominated for his superb strike in Real Sociedads 1-1 draw at Osasuna.

The Nigeria international unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box four minutes before the break.

It was the forwards second goal of the campaign.

The 26-year-old netted a stunning goal in Sociedads 2-1 victory against Sevilla in their previous LaLiga game.

Also in contention for the award are Real Madrids Brahim Diaz and Real Betis Aitor Ruibal.

Sadiq is expected to be named in Nigerias squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
