Super Eagles Wont Disappoint At AFCON 2023 NFF Technical Committee Chairman

Super Eagles will feature in the Cote dIvoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with the sole aim of winning Nigerias fourth African title, chairman of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee, Alhaji Sharrif Inuwa Ahlan, has told Completesports.com.

According to Alhaji Inuwa who is also the chairman of the Kano State Football Federation, the NFF is leaving no stone unturned in a concerted effort to ensure that the Super Eagles give the championship their best shot and win the trophy

We have put all necessary machinery in place for a successful outing at AFCON 2023 and hopefully, the Super Eagles will return to Nigeria with the trophy in February, Inuwa told Completesports.com.

We have the players capable of winning the AFCON in Cote dIvoire. And on our part at the NFF, we shall motivate them to achieve our collective target.

I am confident that the Super Eagles will not disappoint in Cote DIvoire. The technical crew are putting in all the necessary strategies to ensure that we meet our target of winning the AFCON after 10 years. We can do it again with God being on our side.

He also assured that contrary to insinuations, the NFF does not interfere with the invitation and selection of players by the Technical crew adding that it is the responsibility of the coach to select players who will get results.

I am optimistic that the coach will pick the right players out of the 40 players he submitted. I can assure you that only those deserving will make the final cut of 25 or 27 players for the championship, Inuwa concluded.

The 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is set to get underway across five cities in Cote dIvoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

Kicking off their AFCON 2023 journey, the Super Eagles are slated to encounter Equatorial Guinea in their first Group A clash on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Following that, they will engage with the host nation, Cote dIvoire, on Thursday, January 18, and then take on Guinea-Bissau in their third match on Monday, January 22.
