Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has reiterated that he wont change his style of play ahead of Sundays Premier League clash against Man City at Etihad Stadium.

While Spurs are hoping to end a three-match losing streak, the Citizens are seeking to avoid going three top-flight games without a win for the first time since 2017.

After three weeks at the Premier League summit, reigning champions Man City have since surrendered top spot to Arsenal after playing out successive score draws in their last two league matches with Chelsea and Liverpool.

Recall that Postecoglous team has been hit hard by injury, but he insisted that he wont change his approach.

Theyve a very decent side. Theyre still a very good football side. Its a great test for us and where were at as a group, as a team and our project of trying to become a team that plays the game a certain way. Theres no greater measure than playing against the best and thats what well have, a strong test at the Etihad, Postecoglou told TribalFootball.

Were looking forward to it, the players are looking forward to it, Im certainly looking forward to it. Theyre the kind of things that you dont want to shy away from because theyll give you a great barometer of where youre at. Not so much in the result or even performance, its about your mindset about where you want to be.

I want us to get a result. The reason were going to play the way we are is because thats the way I think is the best way to get a result. At the same time we have a plan in place to become a certain football team and bring success to this football club and its not an easy road. Youre going to get challenged along the way and your resolve only gets challenged in tough times.

It doesnt get challenged when things are going well. Its easy to just roll along with it but invariably theres tough times and were going through one now. Weve just got to stay strong in terms of who we want to be and make sure that we dont lose focus on what the end game is because thats why most teams and organisations at some point falter, because in the tough times when their resolve is tested its when theyre found wanting.
