Exclusive: Agu Tips Super Eagles For AFCON 2023 Glory

Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has expressed optimism on the chances of the Super Eagles winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall that Nigeria have been grouped alongside hosts, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

With the team set to kickoff their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, Agu in a chat with Completesports.com stated that the Super Eagles have the players that will deliver the trophy come February 11.

Well, having seen the final 25-man list released by Jose Peseiro, I want to believe that we have the players to conquer Africa all things been equal.

Yes. we have other strong teams who will definitely give the Super Eagles a run for their money, but then, with the calibre of players in our disposal and commitment of the players, I think Nigeria can lift the trophy.

It will be tough and as you know, if you want to be a champion, you must be ready to beat the best teams. I wish the team all the best in Ivory Coast.
