Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that Los Blancos (the whites) will play intense football against Osasuna in their Laliga fixture on Saturday, October 7 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid will look to solidify their position at the top of the table and keep their lead over Barcelona and Girona.

They lost out on the Laliga title last season to Barcelona but they won the Copa del Rey trophy.

Speaking in the press conference, Ancelotti said his team would like to finish well before the international break.

“We want to finish this final stretch of the season well before the international break,” realmadrid.com quoted Ancelotti as saying.

“We want to finish strongly although we know how strong Osasuna can be to play against, and they’ve always played well here. Besides we haven’t beaten on the last two occasions. We’ll have to be at our best to get the three points.

“We’ll try to play well and fast flowing football with intensity, to look to attack as soon as possible. Osasuna are a team that defend very well and they’ll try to pull us out of position to hurt us. We must attack intelligently and avoid taking risks at the back.”

Real Madrid are currently first place in the Laliga standings with 21 points after eight games in the division.

After the game with Osasuna Los Blancos will travel to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to face Sevilla on October 21.

They have won Laliga on a record 35 occasions.

Osasuna currently sit 10th place on the Laliga table with 10 points after eight matches.

They have never won the Laliga title.
