Peruzzi responds to influencer’s public apology over doctored tweet

Nigerian singer Peruzzi has responded to the public apology of a social media influencer @belikebaddy.

DAILY POST reports that @belikebaddy had created a photoshopped tweet allegedly from Peruzzi’s account, claiming that his record label boss, Davido cut him off over his alleged affair with his wife, Chioma.

Reacting to the viral post on Wednesday,
Peruzzi disowned the doctored screenshot and threatened a lawsuit against the user for implicating him.

Following the threat, @belikebaddy on Thursday tendered a public apology and took responsibility for the fabricated post.

“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involved @peruzzi and @davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions might have caused. I promise it will never happen again. My apologies to DMW Management.”

However, in his response to the apology Peruzzi insisted on his decision to pursue legal action.

Peruzzi wrote; “You all retweet this, so he can have money for court. God forgives, I do too. But not this time.”
